World's Fastest Wedding

Well, just wanted to let family know...we have another new addition to our family. Kurt and I got married on January 7, 2011. We had to have a short wedding due to some health insurance clause on Kurt's policy. We have decided to add Joshua and me to his policy, but since his policy is underwritten in Wisconsin, they don't recognize domestic partnerships, only marriage. We planned a ceremony in 3 days. We applied for our license on Tuesday, January 4th, and had to wait the 3 day waiting period. We had a ceremony at one of our favorite hangouts, the Cumming Tap (yes it's a bar), but we had about 40-50 closest friends (mostly cyclists) attend and had a potluck. We had a place, a professional photographer, a minister, and a cake...things couldn't have fallen into place. Our friend Matt is ordained, so he married us, and we both said "I do" and were pronounced man and wife...all within 14 seconds....like I said...world's shortest wedding.

Joshua had his 2 week check up on December 30, 2010. He measured 21 inches long, and weighed a whopping 6 pounds 10.5 ounces. So he's slowly getting back up to birth weight. Lately, he's been eating like a little pig, but we won't complain. His jaundice was almost gone also.

We had a good New Years. Grandma Corbin and Cousin Dani came down and spent time spoiling Joshua, and they watched him so Kurt and I could enjoy the New Years.

2 Weeks Old

Can you believe how time flies by? Joshua is already 2 weeks old. Seems just like yesterday that we were in the hospital meeting him for the first time. He's doing very well, starting to be awake more and of course eating like a little piggy. I'm doing well, my incision is healing well, and I'm not taking any pain meds. I've been on the go, and I get around the house just fine.
