New Addition to the Family

Joshua Alan Benson is finally here! Born on December 17, 2010 @ 9:06pm via C-Section. He weighed 6 pounds 12 ounces and was 20 inches long. He is the love of his parents' lives! The first week home was kind of rough because Joshua always wants to be held, and he has his days and nights mixed up. Grandma Corbin got him a bassinet, but he isn't too fond of it right now, if we lay him down in it, he'll wake back up. We have gotten one good night's rest where Joshua woke up twice, only to feed, and then went back to bed. Joshua had his first doctor's appointment on 12/21/10, and Dr. Timboe said everything looked good, he encouraged us to feed him more (both mommy milk and supplemental formula) and give him some Vitamin D, to take away some jaundice, but otherwise we will be following up with him on 12/ 30/10. I can't wait to see how much weight he's gained.
