Happy August
The summer is just flying by! Can't believe it's already August, which means it's back to school time. Summer has been really busy for us. It means that my vision therapist job picks up because parents try to do as much as they can during the summer so they don't have to take their child out of class as much. Now that fall is around the corner, my mornings will slow down and my afternoons will be filled up. I'm starting to study for my exam to become certified. Three more months until I go out to Las Vegas. I'm pretty nervous, but I'm sure it'll be fun. I get to spend a week out there, the only downfall is being away from my family for a whole week. On the homefront, we've been keeping pretty busy. We've had lots of company this summer between friends and grandparents visiting. Kurt has been trying to ride more, mostly mountain biking. Once we found out we were pregnant last fall, it kind of curbed the riding, and when it's hot out like it has been, he can't hook up the Burley trailer and tote Josh around. So he's been going riding after I get off work, which is good that he can get back into the swing of things and back into shape because cyclocross season starts next months!!!!
Our little Joshua is getting so big! He is inching near the 20 pound mark, and he's meeting all his milestones. He can roll from his belly to his back, AND if he really wants to, we'll catch him rolling from his back to his belly. He moves around the floor by kicking his little legs all the time, so he's becoming more and more mobile everyday. He is eating really well. Josh likes his oranges (sweet potatoes, carrots, and squash), and he'll eat peas and green beans only if I mix some fruit in with them to make them sweet. And he LOVES his cereal. He is babbling more and more, and can say Mama, and we are working on Dada. Loves his Sesame Street and me reading to him. He is full of energy, laughter, and love. His breathing issues are getting better. We have no more weezing, we've been doing nebulizers 2x a day, and we go see a pulminologist at the end of the month for any additional imput/advice to kick this RSV residue. In September, he has is 9 MONTH checkup, and he's also getting his first eye exam!
Otherwise we don't know much else. I'm sure I will see some of you in a few weeks at the Farm Festival.

Watching fireworks on July 4th.
Mommy, I don't think I like green beans.
Little rusty, but starting to sit up on his own.
Here we are, we are doing well. Not much besides working. Joshua had is 6 month checkup on June 29, 2011, and he weighed 17 pounds 11 inches and was 26.5 inches long. He's getting so big. He's eating very well. He likes his cereal, sweet potatoes, and carrots, however, he's not quite fond of green beans or peas yet. We have his 2 bottom teeth in, and now his 2 top teeth are coming in. It's pretty exciting. He is rolling from belly to back, but doesn't quite have back to belly, and he's starting to sit up on his own for brief periods of time.
