Another Great Weekend

Hey remember me? It's been awhile. We are down to only 1 computer, so Kurt and I are sharing his. I hope everybody had a safe and fun 4th. Last Friday, Kurt and I both had the day off so we went to the Good Guy Car Show.

This weekend was fun. Seems like it went by too fast. Friday night, Kurt and I and some friends went to the Funny Bone Comedy Club to see Michael Winslow, you might know him as the cop on the Police Academy movies that made all the noises. We had a GREAT time, and he was AWESOME!!!

On Saturday, Kurt got up SUPER early and went out riding with the boys. They went gravel riding for like 65 miles. Then he came home just as I was about to ride out, so we rode our loop to Gray's Lake, and then up to Johnston to get some grub at our favorite BBQ joint, Cactus Bobs. I must say, if you are ever in DSM, you have to try it.

I got in about 30 miles and Kurt decided to ride a little more so he can get in his first century ride (100 miles total in 1 day). Afterwards, we went to Newton to watch the races. Think minor leagues for car racing. It was my first time at the Iowa Speedway. After the races, we hung out with our friend, and then went home.

It was a great weekend I have to say. Here in a couple weeks, Kurt will be heading out to Colorado with the boys. I sure hope he has fun! Until next time!
